- Welcome to the Rubyband Wiki! A wiki about the US/UK band Ruby.
Formed in 1994, the band was a collaboration between Scottish singer Lesley Rankine and American producer Mark Walk. Their music blended the genres of electronic, trip hop, noise, industrial, even some jazz influences, and was made mostly using computers. The name Ruby was chosen because Rankine and Walk both have maternal grandmothers named "Ruby". Together they released two studio albums and three remix albums from 1995 through 2001, and singles into 2002. In 2013 Rankine began work on new material, with two singles and an EP put out.
